Manual loading requires significant physical effort. Constantly lifting the carrier frames (setters) can lead to back pain and other injuries caused by strain on the musculoskeletal system. The ATLAS loading and unloading system handles the heaviest physical work, thereby relieving the strain on employees. Operating a complex consisting of two PKT 6.270 ovens—with a total baking area of 54 m²—and the ATLAS system requires only a single operator, who is responsible for timely positioning the trolleys carrying the frames at the docking station.
The loading and unloading process is automated, extremely rapid, and precise to the second. Only thermal oil ovens—due to their design—allow for continuous, batch-after-batch baking over a 24-hour period while maintaining a specific atmosphere and ensuring even baking. Rapid loading and unloading minimize heat loss from the ovens, and in a continuous production cycle, this reduces bread production time by up to 20%.
The Siemens automation system ensures the reliability and continuity of the workflow. A key advantage of the IBIS ATLAS system is its servo drives, which are distinguished by exceptional performance and operational reliability. They are used wherever precise positioning, dynamic movement, and accurate control are critical.
